Catering at Herncliffe

Our team of qualified cooks and catering assistants produce a range of homemade meals over a 28 day cycle. As well as main meals, the catering team make homemade soups, cakes and bread.

The team of cooks produce traditional meals and caters for the varied needs of some of our residents. For example those with swallowing difficulties might require a softer diet while still offering the range of colour and taste as a normal meal. Some dementia sufferers will not sit to enjoy a meal at the table but instead their diet is supplemented with a range of finger foods which can be enjoyed on the move!

We have specified meal times but these sometimes vary depending on the needs of the residents.

During a typical day a resident will enjoy a breakfast, sometimes cooked. Mid morning brings hot drinks and biscuits. Lunch is followed by mid afternoon cakes with tea or coffee. The evening meal is then followed by warm drinks and biscuits.

Many special dietary requirements are also catered for as well, please just ask.

We review and update menu choices during the year and listen to the views of our residents.
